Woman sexually assaulted in Londonderry

A woman has been sexually assaulted in an alleyway in Londonderry, according to police.

The incident took place at around 1.00am this morning between Great James Street and Sackville Street.

It is understood a man forced the woman to the ground after grabbing her from behind, before sexually assaulting her.

The assailant is described as being tall with dark hair, and he was wearing jeans.

Detectives have appealed for anyone with information, to contact them.

Woman Sexually Assaulted In Omagh
Police have appealed for information after a 24-year-old woman was sexually assaulted in Omagh. The attack is thought to have happened in a walkway in the Johnston Park area between 1am and 3am on Sunday (30 November). Detectives want to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time, or who may be able to assist the investigation.

Appeal Following Arson Attack In South Belfast
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following an arson attack at a property in south Belfast. At approximately 10.20pm on Saturday, 13 April, police received a report of a fire at a house in the Kilburn Street area. Police attended the scene alongside the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service.
