Man stabbed in bar in Co. Down
A man stabbed in a pub in Holywood, County Down is in a serious condition in hospital.
The incident occurred at a restaurant in High Street at around 8pm on Thursday evening.
The man was stabbed in the chest and made his way outside the pub where staff rendered first aid until an ambulance arrived.
Police confirmed that one man had been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

A 65-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the 1974 Birmingham pub bombings. Twenty one people were killed and some 220 people injured when bombs exploded at the Mulberry Bush and the Tavern in the Town on the night of 21 November, 1974.

Co Down man stabbed outside London pub
A Northern Ireland man was stabbed to death in north London at the weekend. Thomas Breen, from Downpatrick, Co Down, was drinking with a friend in Camden Town when he was involved in an altercation with two men outside a pub. In the ensuing fight, Mr Breen received a fatal stab wound.

Police make further appeal in west Belfast killing
Police have appealed to a Belfast taxi driver to contact them in relation to the murder of Geraldine Kane last week. The 47-year-old mother of four was found stabbed to death in a house in Cavendish Square off the Falls Road on Tuesday.

Man Stabbed In Newry
A man, 27, has been stabbed in Newry, County Down. The attack happened in the Carnagh Park area in the early hours of Thursday morning. The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service treated the man at the scene. He is currently in hospital and is believed to be in serious but stable condition.

Man Arrested In Connection With Dromara Assault
A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a report of an assault at licenced premises at the Rathfriland Road area of Dromara. Detective Inspector Bell said: "Shortly before 10:10pm on Friday 15th December, it was reported that an altercation occurred at a bar in the area following three men refused entry to the premises.
