Man Assaulted In South Belfast

A man is being treated in hospital following a serious assault in south Belfast.

It is believed the man in his early 40s was assaulted in the Donegall Avenue area at 3.00am on Monday.

The man’s condition is said to be serious but not life threatening and detectives at Musgrave Street are appealing for witnesses.

Four men were arrested nearby a short time after the incident and they are currently helping police with their enquiries.

Appeal For Information On Serious Assault In South Belfast
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a serious assault on a man in south Belfast. A man, aged in his 40s, is being treated in hospital after he was "brutally" assaulted inside a lift at Hartington Court off the Dublin Road, according to the police.
