Police have confirmed that a suspicious device found in the Steeple estate in Antrim was a pipe bomb.

A PSNI spokesman said there had been an earlier alert in the area at 3.00am on Sunday morning and he appealed to the public to contact police if they see anything suspicious in the area.
Local PUP councillor Ken Wilkinson said that those responsible for leaving the pipe bomb did not care about the people living in the area.
