Four Killed In Weekend Road Crashes

Four people have been killed in separate road crashes in Northern Ireland over the weekend.

Fourteen-year-old Adele Whiteside was killed when she was struck by a car as she walked along Finaghy Road South around 12:45am on Saturday morning.

A man has been arrested in connection with her death.

Adam Armstrong, 78, from Irvinestown died in a two-car collision in Drumquin in Co. Tyrone around 10:45am on Saturday. His wife was also critically injured in the crash and remains in hospital.

An eight-year-old girl was killed in a crash in Dervock in Co. Antrim on Saturday afternoon. Three other people were injured in the crash, including her mother, who is in a serious, but stable, condition in hospital. The mother's 20-year-old sister and two-year-old sister were also treated for non-life threatening injuries.

A 60-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a car on Frosses Road in Ballymoney, Co. Antrim around 5pm on Saturday.

Woman Killed In Co Armagh Road Collision
A woman in her 30s has been killed in a road crash in Portadown, Co Armagh. The woman was hit by a car as she was walking on the side of the Moy Road at around 9.45pm on Tuesday. The road was closed for a short time but it has been reopened. Police are appealing for any witnesses to contact them.
