Man Stabbed At Belfast Contact Centre

An arrest has been made after a disturbance in a Belfast office this afternoon, during which a man was stabbed.

A PSNI spokesperson said the incident occurred at around 2pm at a Contact Centre in Lanyon Place.

The man was taken to the Royal Victorial Hospital with two stab wounds to his neck. His condition is not known at present.

Police have confirmed they have arrested a man in connection with the incident.

Arrests & Searches In CIRA Probe
Two men have been arrested following a number of police searches into the Continuity IRA. A 37-year-old man arrested under the Terrorism Act in Newtownabbey on Thursday evening, 29 August, remains in custody this morning. He was taken to Musgrave Serious Crime Suite for questioning.

Two Arrests Made In Connection With Death Of Elderly Man In Dromore
A 54-year-old man has been arrested in suspicion of murder in connection with the death of an elderly man on 30 June in County Tyrone. The 84-year-old man was found dead at an address in Blackwater Road, Dromore. Police investigating the death made two arrests on Tuesday.
