CEM contract secures local hospitals and health centres

CEM Systems has secured a contract to supply an integrated access control and badge production system to the facilities of Down Lisburn Trust, Northern Ireland.

The order will see CEM secure its first hospital in Northern Ireland - the Lagan Valley Hospital in Lisburn.

The project is further testament that CEM's access control capabilities extend to applications outside of the airport market.

Down Lisburn Trust is the principal provider of health and social care to residents of the Down and Lisburn regions of Northern Ireland. In response to the increasing threat of intruders into sensitive areas of the Trust's facilities - including hospitals, health centres, and daycare centres - the organisation chose the resilient AC2000SE to improve overall security.

The system will be controlled centrally at the Trust's head office at Lisburn Health Centre and will also monitor the neighbouring Lagan Valley Hospital.

Supported by the flexibility of AC2000SE, the system is estimated to expand to cover the remaining 20 facilities within the Trust.

The system will be installed and supported by Radiocontact.
