Arrest Follows Body Find In Belfast Car

Mystery still surrounds the death of a man whose body was found in a car in north Belfast.

A man has been arrested after the find, police have said.

The body was discovered in the vehicle at Prospect Park in Ardoyne, off the Crumlin Road, at about 8am on Thursday.

A police spokesman said: "Investigations are at an early stage and it is not known as yet how this man died."

Detectives at Antrim Road PSNI have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.

One man, believed to be a teenager, has been taken to hospital where his injuries are believed to be serious. The road has been closed at its junctions with Newlyn Terrace and Spencer Road.

Witness Appeal After Stabbing Incident In Downpatrick
Police have issued an appeal for witnesses following an assault in the Ardilea Park area of Downpatrick in the early hours of Sunday morning, 10 December. A 22-year-old man was found with serious stab wounds at a house in the Killough Road area just after 4am. He was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital by ambulance.
