West Belfast Stabbing Investigated

Police are investigating an attack in which a man was stabbed a number of times in West Belfast.

The attack took place at Albert Street off the Falls Road on Saturday. The victim's injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

A police spokesperson said that a 19-year-old man was arrested.

A knife has been removed for forensic tests.

Man Shot In Co L'Derry
A man has been shot in the ankle in Co L'Derry. The paramilitary-style attack happened near the Creggan shops at around 7.45pm on Thursday, 07 December. The 41-year-old man has been taken to hospital to be treated, however his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Police described the shooting as "brutal and horrific".

Police question man over West Belfast attack
A 31-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an assault in the Lenadoon area of West Belfast. The incident took place on January 28, and the victim was left with serious head injuries. Police have appealed for anyone who may have information on the attack, to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

PSNI Appeal For Information After Cars Set Alight In North Belfast
The PSNI have appealed for information after four cars were set alight in north Belfast. Police say the suspected arson attack happened at around 22:30 on Tuesday night on the Whitewell Road. It is understood no one was injured in the incidents.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.
