Two men sought following 'serious sexual assault'

Detectives are seeking two men in relation to a serious sexual assault on a woman in the Newtownabbey area on Sunday morning.

The incident happened near the Monkstown Social Club in the Cloyne Crescent area between 3am and 3.30am.

The 36-year-old-victim was confronted by two men as she walked home. She was forced to the ground and assaulted before managing to escape her attackers.

One of the attackers is described as in his 20s with short black spiky hair and a ring pierced through his right eyebrow. He was wearing a white T-shirt. The second individual was described as in his 30s, with grey hair and of stout build. He was wearing a denim jacket.

Anyone who was in the Cloyne Crescent area in the early hours of Sunday and who may have any information should contact detectives at Newtownabbey on 028 9065 0222.

Two Men Arrested In Connection With Petrol Bomb Incident
Two men have been arrested in connection with an incident in Ballymena in the early hours on Sunday, 15 November. Officers were in the Fisherwick Gardens area, shortly before 5am, when they became aware that a petrol bomb had been thrown inside a property. There were three male occupants inside the property at the time.

Seven Men Jailed For Total Of 50 Terrorist Offences
Seven men have been sentenced for a combined total of 50 terrorist offences. The men, who range in age from 36 to 79 years, pleaded guilty in January to offences including membership of a proscribed organisation, preparation of terrorist acts, conspiracy to possess explosives and firearms, collecting information and providing terrorist training.

Six Arrested In Dissident Investigation
Six people have been arrested by detectives investigating dissident republican activity. The arrests were made on Tuesday in the Dunmurry and west Belfast area following a number of searches. Police said five men, aged between 31 and 58, and a 32-year-old woman had been arrested.
