Coalisland Architect Named 'Yummy Mummy'
A glamorous Coalisland architect has been crowned Ulster's Yummiest Mummy 2009.
Mum of four Kathy Hagan picked up the Carolans sponsored award at a glittering ceremony in Belfast's Bourbon restaurant last week.
Kathy, who was chosen over dozens of other Yummy Mummies, won a year’s supply of Carolans Irish Cream Liquer, a full colour, styling and Dermalogica facial, courtesy of Michèle International, a Belleek Vase and a well earned weekend spa break for two at the prestigious Galgorm Resort and Spa.
The judges selected Kathy in recognition of her fantastic work/life balance.
Mary Johnston, Chair of the judging panel, said: "The overall winner was determined by personality on the night. We feel Kathy’s lively personality really shone through, she showed a great sense of humour and we all agreed she met all the criteria of a Carolans Yummy Mummy!"
Grainne Brady from Ballycastle was awarded second place and third place went to Joanne Easthope from Belfast. They both received a luxury bag of Galgorm Spa products, a bottle of Lanson champagne and a Belleek Living photo frame.
Carolans Brand Manager Bronagh Henderson said: "We are delighted with the response to the competition. There was a great atmosphere on the night and it was lovely to see all these mummies who juggle family lives and careers come along and have a much-deserved bit of fun."
