Man Charged Over Taxi Driver Death

A 62-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a taxi driver who was found shot dead in his car in Derbyshire.

The body of Stuart Ludlam was found dead in the back of his Ford Focus near Cromford railway station, near Matlock, on September 17.

A post-mortem revealed that the married father-of-three from Darley Dale had died from a shotgun wound.

A 62-year-old man, who has not been named, is due to appear before magistrates in Derby charged with murder, on Thursday.

Pensioner Arrested On Suspicion Of Murder
A 77-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was found dead at a house in north London. Police were alerted by paramedics at around 10pm on Monday night. A 43-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Metropolitan Police.

Man Charged With Murder Of Chatham Woman
A man has been charged with the murder of a 32-year-old woman who was found dead at her home in Chatham earlier this month. Jennie Banner was found dead at her flat in New Road on August 19. Marcus Coates, 43, of Ernest Way, Chatham, was charged with murder on August 21. He is due to appear before Medway magistrates court today.

Woman And Children Found Dead In Stoke-on Trent
An investigation is underway following the discovery of the bodies of a woman and two children at a house in Stoke-on-Trent. Police say they made the discovery after being called to an address in Sherwin Road at about 18:35 on Sunday. A woman and two children were pronounced dead at the scene. No details of the victims have yet been released.

Man in court over Manchester pub shootings
A 42-year-old man has appeared in court charged in connection with the double murder of two men who were shot dead outside a Manchester pub. Ian George McLeod, of Victoria Street, Radcliffe appeared at Salford magistrates' court charged with conspiracy to commit murder. He was remanded in custody to appear at Manchester Crown Square on April 10.

Suspected London bomber to be returned to UK
A British man wanted for questioning in connection with the failed London bomb attacks on July 21 is to be extradited to the UK within 35 days, an Italian court has ruled. Osman Hussein (27) will appeal the decision to the Italian Supreme court, according to his lawyers.
