Man Gunned Down In London
A murder investigation is underway after a 21-year-old man was shot dead in east London.
He was gunned down on Ickburgh Road in Clapton at around 10.50pm last night.
The victim suffered a single gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The man has not been named but his next of kin have been informed.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "It's very early on so we're keeping an open mind about gangs and that kind of thing.
"We're also not ruling out the possibility that the killing is related to a murder that happened over the weekend - the shooting of Oktay Erbasli - who was shot in front of his child by an armed biker."
Two men, both aged mid twenties, have been arrested in connection with the incident and have been taken into custody at separate east London police stations.
Clapton Road and Clapton rail station remain closed while investigations are carried out.

Detectives have launched a murder investigation after a 38-year-old man was shot dead in London on Tuesday evening. The London Ambulance Service called the poise to Vine Lane at around 7pm. The victim was found with gunshot wounds, however he was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 8pm.

Detectives are appealing for information after a 24-year-old man was shot dead in a south London nightclub. The man was shot in the SE1 nightclub on Weston Street at around 5.40am on Sunday 5 October, where he had been on a night out with his friends. It is understood he was approached by a man who produced a gun and shot him once from close range.

26-Year-Old Charged With Party Murder
A 26-year-old man has been charged with the murder Jerome Edwards. Edwards, 23, from Catford, south London, was shot in the head at a party in the early hours of Sunday morning. He died in hospital hours after the shooting in Southwell Road, Camberwell.

The victim was found unconscious with head injuries and wounds to his body in Penrose Street, Walworth, at around 2.50am on Friday. The man was pronounced dead at the scene and a post mortem is due to be carried out later today.
