External Review Ordered Into Wiltshire Death

Wiltshire Police have announced that the case of the death of Adrian Cooksey is to be reviewed. Mr Cooksey, 50, was found dying on the pavement in Spa Road in Melksham in the early hours of March 8 this year. Last week, 20-year-old Thomas Minshull was acquitted of manslaughter at Bristol Crown Court. He had denied the charge. Wiltshire Police said that they were in the process of asking another force to re-examine the case to see if any new lines of enquiry could be established. Acting Assistant Chief Constable Mike Veale said that this was being done with the support and knowledge of both Mr Cooksey's family and Mr Minshull and his family and said that the case remains open.
