Police Search Forest In Murder Probe

Detectives are continuing their investigation over the suspected murder of an Edinburgh woman who went missing on the morning of 4 May.

Their search has led them to a forest in Argyll where police believe her body may have been dumped.

Suzanne Pilley, 38, went missing after reaching her office in the city's Thistle Street area.

Police want to hear from anyone who saw a silver family car in the central part of the Argyll Forest, including the Rest and Be Thankful, on 5 May.

The Lothian and Borders force said the fact that Ms Pilley, a bookkeeper, had made it to work led them to change their inquiry from a missing person search to a murder investigation.

They have appealed for information about the movements of the car around unclassified roads in Argyll, between 1pm and 3.30pm on the day of the general election, and in the evening between 7pm and 9pm.
