Man Bailed In Dead Baby Girl Investigation
A 34-year-old man arrested in connection with the death of a baby girl in Derbyshire has been released on police. The one-year-old from Ilkeston was taken to hospital on Sunday, but died on Monday morning. Derbyshire police said that the investigation is continuing and they are awaiting the results of medical tests to determine the cause of death.
Witnesses To Fatal Road Crash Sought
Police in Preston are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision on the docks. The incident happened around 12:40pm yesterday at the entrance to the Odeon Cinema on Portway, when a pedestrian was hit by a white Citroen van. The pedestrian, a 45-year-old man from Chorley, became trapped under the van and had to be freed by fire crews. He was taken to the Royal Preston Hospital, but died shortly after arrival. Officers are trying to trace his next of kin. A 35-year-old man from Colwyn Bay has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
Police have appealed for witnesses to contact them.
Three Arrested After Liverpool Teen Shooting
Three teenagers have been arrested following the shooting of another teenager in Liverpool. The 16-year-old boy was shot in the lower leg, reportedly by a gunman on a motorbike, in what is believed to have been a targeted attack shortly before 11:30pm on Monday in Scargreen Avenue, Norris Green. He is being treated in hospital, but his condition is not thought to be serious. Three male youths, aged 15, 16 and 18, were arrested following early morning raids at several properties in north London. They are being held on suspicion of wounding and possessing a firearm. Police also seized a motorbike from a house in Fazakerley. Police are appealing for anyone who saw two men on a motorbike along Scargreen Avenue and Utting Avenue around the time of the attack to contact them.

Wanted Man Arrested In London
The man wanted in connection with the murder of a 66-year-old man who intervened during a robbery, has been arrested. Ian John McLoughlin, 55, was arrested in London at around 01:00. He was wanted on suspicion of murder and robbery. Airports and ports had been put on alert as police hinted for McLoughlin.

Man arrested following deaths of two women
A man has been arrested following a shooting incident in Oxfordshire yesterday in which two woman died and another was seriously injured. The 39-year-old man, who has not been named, was arrested by officers from Cambridgeshire Constabulary in Peterborough at around 3am this morning.

British Man Dies In Dubai Police Custody
A British man has died in police custody in Dubai. Lee Bradley Brown, 39, from east London, died on Tuesday after he was taken to a Dubai police station where he was allegedly assaulted and put into a cell. It has been reported that Mr Brown, was arrested over a row at the luxury hotel Burj Al Arab hotel.

A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a doctor in Kent. Consultant paediatrician Dr Victoria Anyetei, 54, was found in her car in the driveway of her home in Dartford on August 14. She had been stabbed to death. Kent Police said that the man was arrested on suspicion of murder at an address in Dartford.

A 49-year-old man has been arrested following the suspicious death of another man in Devon. The 48-year-old victim was discovered at 6:10pm at St Barnabas Church in Dartmouth on 22 August. Emergency services treated the man at the scene but he was later pronounced dead. A 43-year-old man has also been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
