Man arrested following deaths of two women

A man has been arrested following a shooting incident in Oxfordshire yesterday in which two woman died and another was seriously injured.

The 39-year-old man, who has not been named, was arrested by officers from Cambridgeshire Constabulary in Peterborough at around 3am this morning. He is currently in custody awaiting interview, a police spokesperson confirmed.

Police were called at 4.40pm to an address in Highmoor Cross, near Henley, on Sunday following reports that a woman had been shot.

Police visiting a flat in west London to inform the next of kin of the death of a man on Friday, discovered the bodies of two more people. The body of a 30-year-old man had been found on a first-floor roof on Westbourne Park Road in Paddington.

Teens Arrested In 'Gang Raids' In Strathclyde
Police in Strathclyde have arrested 15 teenagers in a series of early morning raids, aimed at cracking down on gang violence. The youths - all male and aged between 16 and 18 - were arrested in Drongan and Auchinleck. The raids followed a large disturbance in Drongan last November.
