Appeal Over Fatal RTC
Lancashire Police have appealed for information regarding a fatal road crash in Kirkham at the weekend.The incident happened around 7:30pm on Blackpool Road, about half a mile west of the crossroads with Freckleton Street. A red Vauxhall Corsa collided with the rear of a trailer attached to a tractor, which had stopped in the nearside of the two lanes due to a tyre blow-out. The driver, 63-year-old Leonard Robinson from Blackpool, was declared dead at the scene. Police said that they believed he had not seen the trailer before the crash due to poor visibility because of the sun, but an investigation has been launched. Witnesses are asked to contact police on: 0845 1 25 35 45 or Crimestoppers anonymously on: 0800 555 111.
Two Injured In Merseyside Shooting
Two doormen have been injured in a shooting outside a pub in Derby. The incident happened at the West Derby Hotel on Town Row around 10:15pm on Sunday. Police were called following reports of shots being fired. One doorman, aged 21, was wounded in his right thigh, while the other doorman, 22, was wounded in his left calf. Both were treated in hospital. It is believed that two men, dressed in dark clothing and wearing balaclavas approached the pub and fired a number of shots at the doormen who were outside. The motive for the attack is unknown. The area has been sealed off for forensic examination and CCTV is being examined. Teen In Court Over Darlington Stabbing
A 15-year-old youth is due to appear in court charged in connection with a serious assault that left a man in hospital in Darlington. The victim, a 42-year-old man from Darlington, was stabbed in North Road in the early hours of Saturday morning. He remains in hospital in a serious, but stable, condition. The youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent and is due to appear before South Durham Magistrates sitting at Sedgefield Magistrates' Court in Newton Aycliffe today. A second youth who was arrested in connection with the same incident was released on police bail until mid-October, pending further enquiries. Witness Appeal Following Attack On Cyclists In Dagenham
Police have appealed for witnesses after an unprovoked attack on two men in Dagenham on Wednesday, 22 July. It is understood that two 19-year-old men were riding bicycles on Dunkeld Road at about 23:30 when they were attacked by the occupants of a black Vauxhall Corsa. Police said that it appears the attack was "completely unprovoked".

Teenager injured in collision with police car
A teenage cyclist has been seriously injured after he was involved in a collision with a police car that was responding to an emergency call. The collision occurred around 10:10pm on December 5 at the junction of Talbot Avenue and Oban Road in the Winton area of Bournemouth.

Police are hunting a taxi driver who raped a 20-year-old man after offering him a lift. The victim had been walking home in Manchester city centre in the early hours of Sunday when he got into a a silver VW Passatt private hire car, with a taxi sign roof light at Quay Street.

Police have appealed for witnesses after a female special constable was stabbed to death outside her home in Wembley, north-west London. Nisha Patel-Nasri, 29, was off duty when she was attacked late last night in Sudbury Avenue. She was found in her nightclothes in the street by neighbours.

Three questioned over Walker murder
Police have arrested another man in connection with the murder of black teenager Anthony Walker. A 23-year-old man from Huyton was arrested on Thursday and is being questioned by police. Two men who were arrested at John Lennon Airport on Wednesday night are also still being questioned.
