Two Arrested Over Merseyside Pub Shooting
Two men have been arrested in connection with a double shooting outside a Derby pub. The incident happened at the West Derby Hotel on Town Row around 10:15pm on Sunday. Police were called following reports of shots being fired. Two doormen were injured in the attack - a 21-year-old was wounded in his right thigh, while a 22-year-old was injured in his left calf. Both were treated in hospital. Police said that two men, dressed in dark clothing and wearing balaclavas, has approached the pub and fired a number of shots at the doormen who were outside before running off into Croxteth Park. The motive remains unknown. Two men, aged 21 and 27, from Stockbridge Village, were arrested, but released on police bail pending further enquiries.
Police Officer Injured in Dog Attack
A female police officer has suffered serious arm and stomach injuries in a dog attack in Plymouth. The incident happened around lunch time on Monday, when officers were called to reports of a disturbance on a street in Whitleigh. When they arrived and attempted to walk up the path of a property, a dog ran out and attacked them. Specialist dog-trained officers, along with staff from Dartmoor Zoological Park and Estover Veterinary Hospital attended the scene and sedated the dog. It has been seized and police are considering an application for a destruction order for the animal. A 33-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of having a dog dangerously out of control in a public place. She was later released on police bail until September 16 2010.
Three Arrested In Bristol Drugs Raids
Three men have been arrested following the discovery of Class A drugs, cannabis plants and growing equipment in Bristol. Police raided three industrial premises and a number of residential properties in the city on Monday. Around 200 cannabis plants and growing equipment were found at a unit on the Beehive Industrial Estate in St. George, while a large quantity of substances, believed to be cutting agents for Class A drugs were also found at a property in the St George area. Kent Police, in partnership with officers from the Metropolitan Police Service, have arrested two men in East London on suspicion of conspiracy to commit armed robbery. On 3 May, Kent Police began a search for Michael Wheatley, 55, who had failed to return to HMP Standford Hill after being released on temporary licence.

Eight Men Arrested Following Dawn Raids
Over 100 police officers have carried out a series of raids concerning child sexual exploitation offences in Oxford. Eight men were arrested following the raids at 6am this morning 2 June. Police are investigating approximately 60 offences in connection with the operation relating to female victims in Oxford between 1999 and 2007.

Man Arrested After Police Shoot "Aggressive" Dog
Police in Birmingham have arrested a man after armed police shot dead an "aggressive" dog. According to police the dog was shot over concerns for "public safety" after Richmond Road in Bearwood was sealed off at around 16:00 when two "pit bull-type" dogs were reported to be loose. The second dog was captured by police.
