Chaos As Kiss Travel Collapses

Travel firm Kiss Flights has collapsed, leaving the holiday plans of more than 60,000 travellers in chaos.

The firm, which specialised in flights to Greece, Egypt, Turkey and the Canary Islands, folded after its owner Flight Options announced that it had ceased trading on Tuesday night.

Around 13,000 Kiss customers are currently overseas, but the Civil Aviation Authority said that they would be able to return home as normal.

Around 60,000 people also have forward bookings through Kiss. The CAA confirmed that anyone whose flight is due to leave the UK before 6pm today, will also be able to take their trip planned and said that the "vast majority" of those with future trips booked would receive refunds.

Kiss is the latest travel firm to go bust in the UK this summer. Its collapse follows that of Goldtrails, which went into administration last month, and Sun4U, which folded last week.

According to reports, many of those affected by the collapse of Kiss Flights were awaiting refunds from the failure of Goldtrails.
