Woman Arrested Over Tube Death

A 34-year-old woman has been arrested following the death of a person at King's Cross tube station on Monday evening.

Following reports of a body under a Piccadilly line train, emergency services in London arrived at the scene.

The woman from Cricklewood was arrested and taken into custody for questioning.

Ashley Croft, a Senior Investigating Officer for the British Transport Police, has called for anyone with information to help.

He said: "This happened at a busy time during the evening commute and I appeal to anyone who saw what happened on the east-bound platform of the Piccadilly line to get in contact with us.

"I would like to thank passengers for their patience and understanding and all London Underground staff who assisted the emergency services in dealing with what happened in a professional and dignified manner."
