Appeal For Witnesses Over Leyton Murder

Officers from the Homicide & Serious Crime Command are appealing for witnesses and information following a murder in Leyton.

Police were called at 3:20pm on Monday, 29 November, to reports of a man stabbed in Capworth Street, east London.

Officers and London Ambulance Service attended.

A 33-year-old man was taken to the Royal London Hospital where he died shortly after arrival.

The victim has been formally identified as Sylvester Senyah, 33, of the Leyton area.

A post-mortem examination will be held today at Walthamstow Mortuary.

At this early stage, officers retain an open mind as to any motive.

The two suspects made off on foot. Both are described as black men, aged in their 20s or 30s and between 5'10 and 5'11 in height.

Officers are also keen to trace the victim's car. It is a black VW Golf, believed to be an R32 model with alloy wheels and a silver grille.
