Yeates Suspect 'To Sue' Over Arrest
Although still being treated as a murder suspect in the killing of Joanna Yeates, the victim's landlord Chris Jefferies is so confident he will be eliminated from the inquiry and cleared of any wrongdoing that he is reported to be considering suing police for wrongful arrest.
Sky News said sources have confirmed he is to take legal action after he was released on police bail following three days of questioning and while still being treated as a suspect.
Police today continued the search for the 25-year-old's killer, five days after Miss Yeates' strangled body was found on a rural lane three miles from her flat in Bristol.
They now think Ms Yeates could have been strangled with her own ski sock - which her killer might then have kept as a trophy.
The landscape architect's snow-covered body was found on Christmas morning missing one of her grey, knee-length socks, and detectives believe the garment may hold the key to solving her murder.
The victim - last seen alive nearly three weeks ago - was not wearing her coat or boots either but those items were recovered from her flat in Canynge Road, Clifton.
