Man Charged Over Stockwell Shooting

A 19-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder following a shooting in Stockwell Road.

On Saturday Anthony McCalla, of Oakdale Road, south west London appeared at Camberwell Green Magistrates' Court charged with the attempted murder of Thusha Kamaleswaran, 5, and Roshan Selvakumar, 35.

On Tuesday 29 March police were called to reports of shots fired in Stockwell Food & Wine shop in south west London.

Thusha Kamaleswaran was shot in the chest and Roshan Selvakumar was shot in the face. They were both taken to a south London hospital. Their conditions are described as stable but serious.

McCalla was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on 10 June.

A 14-year-old boy arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in south London on Friday afternoon was bailed until a date later in April pending further enquiries.

Man Jailed For Attempted Murder Of Pc
A south London man has been jailed for 25 years for tying to shoot a policeman. Michael Mitchell, 32, of Babington Road, Streatham, was convicted of attempting to murder Pc Shaun Callow, possession of a firearm and possession of drugs with intent to supply.

Man Arrested After Five-Year-Old Is Injured In Shooting Incident
An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the shooting of a five-year-old boy. The child was shot and seriously injured at his home in Essex. The boy has been taken to the Royal London Hospital at around 13.20 on Sunday. His injuries are believed to be serious but not life threatening.

Teenager Killed In South London Shooting
Police have reported the death of a teenager in a shooting in south London. According to reports police responded to reports of an injured man in Coppock Close in Battersea at around 19:51. A 19-year-old man was treated for a gunshot wound by paramedics from the London Ambulance Service, but was pronounced dead a short time later.

Police Name Bus Stop Shooting Victim
Police have named the man who was shot dead at a south London bus stop at the weekend as Daniel Famakinwa. The 20-year-old, from Manor Park, east London, was found at the bus stop at Waylett Place, West Norwood around 4:15am on Saturday. He had suffered gunshot wounds to the chest and was taken to hospital, where he later died.

PSNI Arrest Two Over Croydon Cops Shooting
Northern Ireland's Police Service (PSNI) have arrested two men following the shooting of a police officer in south Croydon earlier this month. On Wednesday evening the men, aged 20 and 26, were arrested at a house in south Belfast and a number of items were removed from the Lisburn Road house for examination.
