Man Held Over Carlisle Sex Assault
Police investigating a sexual assault in Carlisle last week have arrested a 27-year-old man. A 29-year-old woman was assaulted around 4:20am on August 5 as she walked along London Road, close to Pizza Hut. The 27-year-old from Carlisle was arrested on August 7 on suspicion of sexual assault and remains in police custody. Police said that they are still keen to speak to a motorist who was passing the area at the time and may be a key witness. Man Sought Over 2005 Rape
Greater Manchester Police have appealed for information about a man who is wanted in connection with an alleged rape which took place in Didsbury in June 2005. Emmanuel or Ekertimi Bedford, who is from the Didsbury area, is also known to have contacts in Berlin and Nigeria. Anyone who knows of his whereabouts is asked to contact police on: 0161 856 6153 or Crimestoppers anonymously on: 0800 555 111.
Stockton Collision Boy Named
Cleveland Police have named the four-year-old boy killed in a road traffic collision on Friday as James Dylan Robinson. James died after he was struck by a Ford Fiesta, driven by a local woman, around 6:10pm on Friday at Wearport Green in Portrack. The child had visited an ice cream van prior to the collision. He was taken to North Tees University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on: 01642 326326, quoting number: U142094.

Man Arrested Over Sexual Assault In Somerset
Police investigating a sexual assault in Somerset, during which a mother and child were tied up and held at knifepoint, have arrested a 59-year-old man. Police arrested the man on suspicion of aggravated burglary and sexual assault, in connection with the incident in Sydenham, Bridgewater on 21 January.

British Man Dies In Dubai Police Custody
A British man has died in police custody in Dubai. Lee Bradley Brown, 39, from east London, died on Tuesday after he was taken to a Dubai police station where he was allegedly assaulted and put into a cell. It has been reported that Mr Brown, was arrested over a row at the luxury hotel Burj Al Arab hotel.

Man Arrested Over Kent Doctor's Murder
A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a doctor in Kent. Consultant paediatrician Dr Victoria Anyetei, 54, was found in her car in the driveway of her home in Dartford on August 14. She had been stabbed to death. Kent Police said that the man was arrested on suspicion of murder at an address in Dartford.

Car Parking Row Man Dies
A salesman has died after an alleged assault following an argument over a parking space. The 53 year-old man collapsed, shortly after 2pm on Tuesday, after being involved in the fight behind some shops in Griffnock, East Renfrewshire. He later died at the Victoria Infirmary in Glasgow.
