Stab Wounds Found In Pudsey Murders
A mother and her two young children found dead in a house in Leeds had suffered stab wounds, according to West Yorkshire Police on Tuesday.
Police investigating the deaths of the family who'd been found dead at the house in Pudsey said Clair Smith, 36, and her two sons had been stabbed in the chest.
The revelation comes less than 24 hours after police said they were examining unidentified '"hazardous substances" at the house where family was discovered on Sunday evening.
Mrs Smith's husband Richard, 37, died as a result of smoke inhalation while the bodies, including those of Ben, nine, and Aron, one, were found in a bedroom in the house in Sheridan Way with stab wounds.
West Yorkshire Police are not looking for anyone else over the deaths.
Speaking on Monday a West Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: "At around 1730 GMT, police were called to a property in the Pudsey area of Leeds following the discovery of four bodies.
"Inquiries are at an early stage and police have sealed off the area while the property is checked for any harmful chemicals or gases."
Neighbours said the family moved into the house a few months ago.
A hazardous response team had been dispatched to the Sheridan Way property, while fire crews also attended the incident.

Humberside Police have reported that a helicopter has crashed into the sea off the coast of East Yorkshire. It is understood that a member of the public reported the crash at about 13:40 on Tuesday. The crashed helicopter was found near the lighthouse in Flamborough, police have confirmed. An investigation is underway into the crash.
