£20,000 Award Offered After Teen Death
Detectives investigating the murder of a 17-year-old student in 2010 are offering a reward of up to £20,000 for help.
The award is on offer for information leading to the identification and prosecution of the person or people responsible for the murder of Charlie Wright from Eltham, who was murdered in Greenwich in April 2010.
Police said they were called to the original incident at 2:05am on Friday 23 April of that year after reports of a seriously injured male at a house in Park Mews, Calvert Road SE10.
Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended, though the teenager was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post-mortem gave cause of death as gunshot wound to the face.
Witnesses reported seeing a group of four to five young black men run from the scene in Park Mews towards Woolwich Road shortly after the shooting.
A murder investigation was launched by the Metropolitan Police Service's Homicide and Serious Crime Command. An incident room opened at Lewisham under Detective Chief Inspector Mark Dunne (HSCC).
DCI Dunne said: “We hope the offer of this substantial reward will encourage people to come forward with any piece of information, no matter how small, and help with our investigation.
“Charlie would have turned 19 years old this Saturday and celebrating the completion of a carpentry course at Lewisham College.
“Tragically instead, this young man lost his life in a brutal way leaving his family and friends devastated. I would urge anyone with information to come forward and help bring those responsible to justice.”

Reward Offered For Information On 'Brutal' Murder
Detectives investigating the brutal murder of 24-year-old Rocky Dawson in 2006 have appealed for further information. Christopher Pearman, 54, of Waltham Abbey was convicted of shooting Mr Dawson last year and was ordered to serve a minimum of 23 years in jail.

Reward Offered In 1994 Murder Investigation
A £20,000 reward is being offered in a new bid to solve the 1994 murder of 23-year-old Julie Finley. Ms Finley went missing in Liverpool city centre on 05 August, 1994. Her naked body was found the following day in a carrot field near Wheatsheaf Hotel in Rainford, St Helens. She had been strangled.

Ms Almanea, 31, was stabbed to death on 17 June as she walked along the Salary Brook Trail footpath in Colchester, Essex.
