Giants Win Is 'Greatest Feeling In Professional Sports'

The coach of the victorious New York Giants has described winning the Superbowl as "the greatest feeling in professional sports".

Speaking after his teams hard earned 21-17 victory over the New England Patriots Giants Head Coach Tom Coughlin praised his explosive defence that proved to be too tough for the Patriots during the Sunday night game in Indianapolis.

"Our defense has played so well," Coach Coughlin said. "Coming from the Jets game on, it's given everybody confidence."

The Superbowl is one of the biggest sporting events of the year, viewed by over 100 million people.

One of the stars of the game was Giants quarter back, Eli Manning, who broke a Superbowl record, achieving nine consecutive completions and eventually taking home his second Super Bowl Most Valuable Player award.

Speaking about the win, Manning told reporters: "It just feels great. It was a great game with two great teams. We played to the very end. It was just a great effort on both sides. There were some big plays being made."

"I'm just happy for the guys. I'm happy for everyone in this organization, Coach Coughlin, all of my coaches, all of the players getting a chance to win the Super Bowl. Some of these guys are getting their first one. I feel great for them. I feel great for everybody."
