Attempted Armed Robbery On Bookmakers Crumlin Road
Detectives in Grosvenor Road are appealing for witnesses following an attempted armed robbery of a Bookmakers shop in the Crumlin Road area around teatime on Wednesday.
Shortly after 6pm it was reported that a male aged between 18 and 20 entered the premises and smashed a pane of security glass at the counter in an attempt to steal money.
He made off empty handed.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information is asked to contact detectives at Grosvenor road on 0845 600 8000.
Information can also be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Five Arrested And Firearms Recovered During Traffic Stop
Police have arrested five men and seized weapons during a vehicle stop in Angel, London on Monday. Firearm officers and Trident detectives stopped the car on City Road, Angel, at about 15:45 yesterday. A shotgun and several knives were recovered from the vehicle. A vehicle was also seized as part of this operation.

Appeal Following Attempted Armed Robbery
Detectives from Trident have today issued an E-fit following an attempted armed robbery in Canning Town, east London on Monday 21 February. Police were called at approximately 5.30pm following reports of shots fired at a woman sitting in her car on Ivy Road.

Epping Forest Body Find Becomes Murder Investigation
Police have launched a murder investigation following the discovery of a body in Epping Forest last week. Police reported on Friday that a member of the public found the body just after 19:00 on Wednesday, 9 September close to Hollow Ponds along Whipps Criss Road. The body was wrapped in plastic and partially buried.

Man Arrested Over McKenna Killing
A 46-year-old man is being questioned by police in relation to an attack which left a man dead and his son seriously injured. Graham McKenna, 45, and his 14-year-old son Michael were stabbed on Upton Road in Claughton, Wirral, Merseyside.

Glasgow Attack 'Attempted Murder'
Police are treating an attack on a 31-year-old man in Drumchapel, Glasgow as attempted murder. The man was found with serious injuries in Achamore Road around 11.45pm last night. He is presently receiving treatment in the Southern General Hospital in Glasgow where he is receiving treatment for stab wounds.
