Five Arrested And Firearms Recovered During Traffic Stop

Police have arrested five men and seized weapons during a vehicle stop in Angel, London on Monday.

Firearm officers and Trident detectives stopped the car on City Road, Angel, at about 15:45 yesterday.

A shotgun and several knives were recovered from the vehicle. A vehicle was also seized as part of this operation.

All people arrested have been taken to separate north London police stations for questioning.

The investigation is ongoing.

Four Arrested By Armed Police In Central London
Armed police have arrested four men in Central London during a planned vehicle stop operation. The men, aged 16 to 20, have been charged with conspiracy to possess a firearm with intent to endanger life. Police said that the arrests were made as part of an investigation being led by Trident detectives.

Police have seized a weapon, drugs and large amount of cash during two vehicle stops in Greenford, north west London. The Metropolitan police said armed officers stopped a VW Passat on Ruislip Road, near Ravenor Park, and a Ford Galaxy on the M4 junction with the Windmill Road, at about 18:30 on Sunday 19 April.

Teenager Arrested Over Rape Of 12-Year-Old Girl
A 17-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the rape of 12-year-old girl in east London. Three males lead the girl to a "secluded" end of a street in Walthamstow at around 00:15 on Saturday before two of them attacked her, held her down and raped her.

Police Name Bus Stop Shooting Victim
Police have named the man who was shot dead at a south London bus stop at the weekend as Daniel Famakinwa. The 20-year-old, from Manor Park, east London, was found at the bus stop at Waylett Place, West Norwood around 4:15am on Saturday. He had suffered gunshot wounds to the chest and was taken to hospital, where he later died.

11 Arrested After Two People Jump From Stena Ferry
An investigation into two people missing from a ferry has led to the arrest of 11 people in the Netherlands. The Stena Britannica, sailing from Harwich to the Hook of Holland, reported on Thursday morning that two passengers were missing, and were thought to have jumped overboard.
