Explosion At South London Police Station
An explosion in the basement of a police station in south London has injured seven people.
Around 50 firefighters are tackling a blaze, which began after blast at about 11:20 at Croydon police station.
Five people were taken to hospital, some of which are believed to be builders working on the building. One of them is said to be in a serious condition.
The cause of the blast is currently unknown but a police spokesman has said it was a "non-terrorist" incident.
Fabrice Muamba Has ‘Brief’ Chat With Owen Coyle
Bolton manager Owen Coyle has said he had a “brief” conversation with Fabrice Muamba for the first time since he collapsed of a cardiac arrest during a game on Saturday.
"There's still a long way to go but that's really positive," said Coyle.
"Where we all were on Saturday night, at this stage I would certainly never have envisaged this improvement."
After a “comfortable” night in intensive care on Monday medical staff are continuing to monitor his progress.
Tipped Lorry Traps Car On M6
An HGV lorry flipped on to its side on the M6 motorway in Lancashire trapping a BMW car underneath.
Both the drivers of the lorry driver BMW suffered minor injuries in the crash.
Lancashire Police said: "Recovery of the vehicles is taking place and we are hoping that the southbound carriageway will be open prior to the rush hour traffic."

Police in Bristol have discovered a woman and two children in the back of a refrigerated lorry. Avon and Somerset Police said the driver of the lorry reported hearing voices from inside the lorry. Police believe the woman and children were in the back of the lorry for two days before being discovered.

Some 100 riot police have been deployed in central London as protestors take to the streets to demonstrate ahead on the G8 summit being held in Northern Ireland next week. Officers were sent to Soho, where protesters are thought to have occupied a former police station on Beak Street.

British Man Dies In Dubai Police Custody
A British man has died in police custody in Dubai. Lee Bradley Brown, 39, from east London, died on Tuesday after he was taken to a Dubai police station where he was allegedly assaulted and put into a cell. It has been reported that Mr Brown, was arrested over a row at the luxury hotel Burj Al Arab hotel.

Teenage Girl Arrested Over Body Find
A girl and a 41-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of murder after two bodies were discovered in Suffolk. Suffolk Police said that the first body was found yesterday morning at around 11am after a member of the public called police to express concern for the welfare of a woman in a flat at Victoria Street.

Man Arrested Over Kent Doctor's Murder
A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a doctor in Kent. Consultant paediatrician Dr Victoria Anyetei, 54, was found in her car in the driveway of her home in Dartford on August 14. She had been stabbed to death. Kent Police said that the man was arrested on suspicion of murder at an address in Dartford.
