Police Find Woman And Children In Refrigerated Lorry

Police in Bristol have discovered a woman and two children in the back of a refrigerated lorry.

Avon and Somerset Police said the driver of the lorry reported hearing voices from inside the lorry.

Police believe the woman and children were in the back of the lorry for two days before being discovered. They were taken to a nearby police station to be checked by paramedics.

Police are investigating how they came to be in the lorry.

Lorry Spills £1,500 Cash Across Road In Swindon
A road was forced to closed in Swindon on Thursday after a lorry carrying money scattered approximately £1,500 in cash across a carriageway. The incident occurred after 1:30pm in Mead Way. Police were called to the scene and closed the northbound road from Mead roundabout. The money was cleared from the road. It is understood no one was injured.

Police Called By People Travelling In Back Of Refrigerated Lorry
Police have uncovered 12 people in the back of a refrigerated lorry that was travelling on the M6 in Staffordshire. It is understood that one of the people in the back of the lorry called police at about 9am on Wednesday morning asking for "urgent assistance".

Police Appeal For Witnesses After Woman Hit By Falling Traffic Lights
Northumbria Police have appealed for witnesses to an incident in which a pedestrian was hit by traffic lights after a lorry collided with them. It is understood that the female pedestrian was standing next to the lights when a lorry left the road and collided with them. The lights then fell and hit the woman.

Woman Dies After Being Hit By A Lorry On M3
A woman has been killed while walking along the side of a motorway in Surrey. The woman, who has not yet been named, was struck by a lorry just after midnight on the M3 at Lightwater, near junction three. She was pronounced dead at the scene. It is understood that police found a vehicle parked nearby, which is thought to have belonged to the woman.

Woman 'hit by lorry' on M1
Police have confirmed that a woman whose body was found on the M1 on Thursday was hit by an articulated lorry. The north and southbound carriages of the M1 were closed between junctions 10 and 11 near Luton on Thursday, following the discovery of the woman's body shortly after 10am.
