Police Appeal To Missing Guests At Falmouth Beach Hotel

Police are assisting the Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service which is dealing with a large fire at the Falmouth Beach Hotel in Cliff Road.

The fire was reported just after noon on Monday and ten appliances are in attendance along with further specialist units and 100 firefighters.

Police are also at the scene assisting with road closures and evacuations.

Guests have been evacuated from the Falmouth Beach Hotel and neighbouring St Michael’s Hotel, although around 8 guests remain unaccounted for.

There is nothing at this stage to suggest these guests have come to any harm, and it is likely they have gone out on day trips, but police would like these individuals to make themselves known to officers at the scene or to call police on 101 to confirm they are safe and well.

Cliff Road remains closed as does part of Gylingvase Road, Fenwick Road and Melville Road.
