Man And Woman Shot Dead In Walsall
A man and a woman have died in a shooting at a house in the West Midlands.
The 43-year-old man and 38-year-old woman were found by ambulance crews called to Laneside Gardens, Walsall, shortly after 01:30 BST.
"Despite the best efforts of medical staff, both the man and woman died at the scene," a police spokesman said.
A 23-year-old man and a woman, 22, were arrested nearby in connection with the incident and will be questioned later.
The property and cul-de-sac have been sealed off while forensic searches are carried out.
Det Insp Michaela Kerr, from West Midlands Police, said: "Both the man and woman sustained gunshot injuries and they received emergency treatment at the scene, however they could not be saved and died a short time later.
"We are treating their deaths as suspicious."
The force said officers would be speaking to residents who may have information or concerns following the incident.

Man Who Threatened Woman With A Knife Shot Dead By Police
A man, who broke into a house in London and threatened a woman with a knife, has been shot dead by police. Officers attended an incident at a property in Islington at around 11pm on Thursday. It is believed that the man and woman knew each other. The woman was not harmed, however she is being treated for shock, according to the Metropolitan Police.

Police Name Stab Victim And Make Arrest
Police have named the 44-year-old woman killed in Saundersfoot. Kim Butler was found dead at a property in Pennant Avenue in Saundersfoot in Pembrokeshire in the early hours of Wednesday morning. A post mortem by a Home Office pathologist conducted yesterday afternoon revealed that Ms Butler died of multiple stab wounds.

An investigation is underway following the discovery of the bodies of a woman and two children at a house in Stoke-on-Trent. Police say they made the discovery after being called to an address in Sherwin Road at about 18:35 on Sunday. A woman and two children were pronounced dead at the scene.
