Armed Man Shot By Police

A man in his 40's has been shot by police officers following reports that a man was armed and intending to harm himself and others in Knaphill, Woking.

Officers from the Surrey Police attended an address in Oak Tree Road just after 10pm last night.

He has been taken to St George's Hospital in Tooting where he is being treated.

Officers reported there was a firearm at the scene .

Officers from the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) also attended the incident following concerns there may be an explosive device at the address.

No explosive devices have been found.

Another man in his 30s was arrested at the scene and remains in police custody.

Investigation continues as armed officers shoot man dead
Investigations were continuing today following the killing of a 23-year old man by armed officers from the Metropolitan Police in the Thornton Heath area of south London. According to police, a handgun was recovered at the scene of the shooting, which took place at around 11.25am on Wednesday in Raymead Passage, London Road in Thornton Heath.

Cambridgeshire Police Shooting Referred To IPCC
An investigation has been launched into the death of a man involving a firearms officer in St Neots, Cambridgeshire. Police were called at about 19:45 on Wednesday 21 October to reports of concern for people in a property in Duck Lane, St Neots. Officers attended the scene and at just after 8pm a man was shot by a firearms officer.
