Man Found Guilty Of Shooting Student In The Head

A 21-year-old man has been found guilty for the murder an Indian student in Salford last Boxing Day.

Anuj Bidve was shot in the head while walking early in the morning with a group of friends to the sales in Manchester

Kiaran Stapleton denied murder but had admitted manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility.

He was found guilty of shooting 23-year-old student, who was doing postgraduate studies in micro-electronics at Lancaster University, after the jury deliberated for 90 minutes.

Mr Bidve’s parents were in court to hear the verdict.

Stapleton will be sentenced on Friday.

Guilty Verdict In Godwin Lawson Murder
A man has been found guilty of murdering a promising young footballer in east London. Godwin Lawson, 17, from Enfield, north London, was stabbed to death as he tried to help his friends in Stamford Hill. The Oxford United Football & Education Academy student died at the scene in the March 2010 attack.

Gang Members Jailed Over Teenage Girl's Murder
Two gang members have been sentenced to life for the murder of a 16-year-old girl in London. Two further juveniles have been convicted of firearms offences and assisting those involved in the murder. Agnes Sina-Inakoju died two days after the shooting on 14 April 2010 at Hoxton Chicken and Pizza in Hoxton Street, north London.
