Evacuation In Bolton After Discovery Of 'Suspicious Substances'
A man was arrested and several flats evacuated after counter terrorism police found "suspicious substances" during searches of two houses in the Horwich area of Bolton.
Police had been searching the houses as part of an investigation into indecent images in Bolton.
They also found the substances and cordoned the area while emergency services dealt with the scene.
The substances were later found to be no risk and residents were allowed to return.
Officers from the North West Counter Terrorism Unit supported the raids, which were carried out at 10:00am on Tuesday.

A man is being questioned by West Midlands Police this morning following the discovery of a home-made explosive near a Walsall mosque. Detectives from West Midlands Counter Terrorism Unit are questioning the man, aged 75, following his arrest at his home in Walsall yesterday at 16:30.

Walkers Find Body Of A Baby
The body of a baby, thought to be a newborn, has been found by walkers in the Ox Hey Lane area of Lostock, Bolton, Greater Manchester on Thursday afternoon. It is understood that it is not yet known how long the baby had been there or how it died. A post-mortem examination is expected to take place on Monday.

Police officers from the North East Counter Terrorism Unit and the Wales Extremism and Counter Terrorism Unit executed six search warrants on Thursday. The men have been arrested under the Section 12 of the Terrorism Act 2000.
