Paralympic Sex Charge Tests Await

Evidence is still being analyzed by the police from the charges placed on the three Jordanian Paralympic Power lifting team who were accused of committing a series of crimes whilst training in Antrim before the 2012 Olympics.

Omar Sami Qaradhi, Faisal Hammash and Motaz Al Junaidi were removed from the Jordanian squad due to this.Qaradhi, 31, who is a wheelchair user faces three sexual assault charges, two against a child and one against rumors of him entering a female changing room.

Hammash,35, is accused inciting two girls into having sexual intercourse and Al Junaidi who is also in a wheelchair and is 45 years of age is also being charged with sexual assault. The charges that have been placed on them have been denied by all three men. During their court hearing Distract Judge Robert Alcorn said: "Are you going to be any further forward in four weeks? I suggest you take it for six weeks."

The representative of the three, Tony Caher asked the judge could the three be absent from the next hearing. The judge acceded to this request.

Teenager jailed for rape lie
A 17-year-old girl who falsely accused a taxi driver of rape has been sentenced to a four-month detention and training order. The teenager, from Shipley in Yorkshire, was told that she would serve two months of her sentence in custody, at sentencing at Bradford Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.

Top judge cleared of flashing charge
One of Britain's most senior judges has been found not guilty of exposing himself to a woman twice on packed commuter trains. Sir Stephen Richards, a 56-year-old Court of Appeal judge, from south-west London, was alleged to have flashed at the same woman on two trains in the area on October 16 and 24 last year.

Judge condemns child racism charge as 'crazy'
A judge has branded the prosecution of a schoolboy for alleged racism as "political correctness gone mad". The ten-year-old from Irlam, Greater Manchester appeared before Salford Youth Court charged with racially abusing a fellow pupil. He had been accused of calling the other boy names such as 'Paki' and 'Nigger'.

UK Property Prices 'Still Falling'
House prices in the three months to October were 1.2% lower than in the preceding three months, according to the Halifax. The financial services provider, part of the Lloyds Banking Group, said prices in October were 2.3% lower than at the end of 2009 on a seasonally adjusted basis (-1.2% unadjusted).

Three men sought following sexual assault
Police are seeking three men in connection with the serious sexual assault of a woman in Leeds. The attack happened around 7:30pm on Tuesday night. A 37-year-old was walking along an alley on Meadow Road in Garforth, after getting off a bus, when three unknown men approached her.
