Tower Bridge Opened After Flaming Van
London’s Tower Bridge has reopened following its closure after a Peugeot van caught fire in the middle of the bridge.
AT 09:20 this morning the London Fire Brigade was alerted to the blaze and brought it under control.
Police are now directing traffic on the bridge after it has been re-opened.
Long queues of traffic are being reported both north and south of the Thames.
Police have said no-one appeared to be inside the van when emergency services arrived.
Oldest Vauxhall Auctioned
The oldest surviving Vauxhall is expected to go for as much as £80,000 at a London auction.
The two-seater car, believed to be the oldest made by the company still in existence, was ordered for Vauxhall managing director Percy Kidner in November 1903.
It was sold to a man named Dr Dudley Bernhardt from Marylebon in 1904.
The car stayed in Dr Bernhardt’s family and was used regularly until 1920.
In 1955 it was loaned to the London Science Museum, who modernised it under cooperation with Vauxhall Motors.
The car underwent a major refurbishment in 2001-2002.
It will be auctioned at Bonhams on New Bond Street later.
Girl Charged Over Halloween Attack
A girl has been charged following an attack on a boy in fancy dress in Perthshire.
The boy was dressed up and trick-or-treating with friends when it is alleged the girl, 16, jumped out of a car, ran at him, punched him in the face and made off with his sweets and money.
The incident, which officers have branded as "disgraceful" happened in Blairgowrie.
Tayside Police have confirmed the girl has been arrested.
The boy did not require medical attention but is said to be very upset.
Man Charged Over 'Terrorist' Documents
A man has been charged with possession of terrorist documents which contain details of how to make explosives, poisons and mines.
Umer Farooq, 34 of Stockport, Greater Manchester, admitted possession of the documents when he appeared at the Old Bailey by video-link.
He admitted to 14 counts of possession of material that could be useful to a terrorist.
Also included in the documents was a copy of al-Qaeda magazine Inspire and the Terrorist Handbook Of Explosives.
The accused has been remanded in custody and will be sentenced 16 November.

Body Recovered In Search For 17-Year-Old
The body of 17-year-old male has been recovered from a canal in Hackney. It is understood that the teenager entered the water near Lea Bridge Road after running away from police on Wednesday afternoon. Police had been searching for the teenager after being called to a report of concern for his welfare.

Body Recovered From Cumbrian River
A body has been recovered from a river in Cumbria following a search for a man missing in the water. At around 4.15pm on Tuesday, police were called to the River Esk at Longtown Bridge, near Carlisle, after receiving reports of a man in difficulties in the water. It is understood the man, aged 32, had just rescued a young girl from the river.

Memorial Service Held For Dibbles Bridge Disaster
A memorial service has been held to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Dibbles Bridge Disaster. 33 people died after a coach plunged 16ft off the bridge in North Yorkshire and landed in a garden on 27 May 1975. Only 13 people survived the crash after the brakes on the coach failed. The service was held at 6.

Man Dies After London Bus Collide
A man has died and another 13 victims have been injured in a crash involving a car and a double-decker bus in Clapton, east London at about 02:20 this morning. The man, who was travelling in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene while another three men who were in the vehicle have been taken to hospital.
