Flood Warning Issued For Caravan Park

A caravan park near Northampton has been issued with a flood warning following heavy rain on Sunday.

Cogenhoe Mill park was specifically targeted by the Environment Agency’s flood alerts.

The warning follows a case in May in which 1,000 residents from the park and Billing Aquadrome in the Nene Valley had to leave their homes.

These new warnings at Cogenhoe Mill are expected to be in place for at least 24 hours.

Flood alerts have been issued for the River Nene, the River Ise, the River Tove and the Welland Valley, Harpers Brook and Willow Brook, according to the Agency.

Woman's Body Found In Dorset

The body of a woman has been found in Poole in Dorset.

Officers found the body of the woman, thought to be in her 30s, after being called to Langdon Road.

The circumstances surrounding the woman’s death are as yet unexplained. Police are currently launching an investigation.

Men Arrested Over Teenager Murder

Two men are charged with the murder of teenager Liam Aitchinson.

The accused are due to stand trial in February.

Johnathan MacKinnon, 22, of Elgin, and Stefan Millar, 21, of Inverness, have appeared at the High Court in Glasgow for a preliminary hearing.

The two men face charges of killing the 16-year-old at a property in the Steinish area of Lewis on 23 November last year.

Four Arrested In Glasgow Heroin Seizure

Four people have been arrested following the seizure of heroin with a value of £500,000 in Glasgow.

The arrests happened in the Maryhill area of the city.

Police were acting under warrant when they raided the flat at about 15:15 on Saturday.

A 54-year-old man and three women, aged 18, 21 and 44, were arrested.

They are in custody and were expected at Glasgow Sheriff Court this morning.

Eight Men Arrested Following Dawn Raids
Over 100 police officers have carried out a series of raids concerning child sexual exploitation offences in Oxford. Eight men were arrested following the raids at 6am this morning 2 June. Police are investigating approximately 60 offences in connection with the operation relating to female victims in Oxford between 1999 and 2007.

Fog Causing Flight Cancellations Across UK
Forty five flights have been cancelled at Heathrow Airport due to thick fog. A second day of thick fog is disrupting flights across the UK, with airports in Manchester, Leeds Bradford, Glasgow, Belfast, Southampton and Cardiff all affected. It is understood that airports on Europe are having similar issues.

£842m Of Taxpayers Money For 'Superhospital'
A new "Superhospital" in Scotland will cost taxpayers £842m, it has been revealed today. Local health board NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) have recommended public funding as opposed to private for the Southern General Hospital in Glasgow.

Police Trace Mother Of Dead Baby Girl
Police have traced the mother of a dead baby girl whose body was found on a cycle track in Port Glasgow last month. The baby's body was found in a holdall by a jogger on September 26. Strathclyde Police confirmed that they had traced the 22-year-old mother of the baby.

Birmingham struck by second tornado
Birmingham is believed to have been struck by another tornado as severe weather continued to affect the UK. A roof was ripped off a house in Dovey Road, Moseley by the high winds and a nearby road was closed when it became littered with debris. It is understood that no one was in the house at the time and there were no reports of injuries.
