School Bans Pupils Movember Moustache
A school has banned a pupil from growing a ‘Movember’ charity moustache because it says it is not an "inclusive" activity.
13-year-old Gus Hooker, from Dunstable, Bedfordshire, wanted to take part in the charity campaign Movember, where men grow facial hair to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK.
The Priory Academy said it was "not an activity that many children would be able to join in with".
Airport Disrupted Due To Fog
Flights to and from Heathrow and London City airports have been disrupted due to fog.
78 services have been cancelled while London City Airport said "several" flights had been cancelled.
Poor visibility also led to the Woolwich Ferry service in London being suspended.
It was the second consecutive day of flight disruptions, following delays and cancellations on Wednesday due to anti-austerity strikes across Europe.
By-Election Voting Underway
Voters are turning out for three parliamentary by-elections, following the resignations of one Conservative and two Labour MPs.
The seats which are being contested are Cardiff South and Penarth, Corby and Manchester Central.
Polls opened at 07:00 GMT and close at 22:00 GMT, with the weather expected to be fairly dry, but chilly, in each.
Meanwhile, voters in Bristol are choosing a directly-elected mayor for the first time.
