Teens Charged With Murder After Mugging Victim Dies

Two teenager boys have been charged with murder in connection with a mugging in west London in which the 85-year-old victim died.

Paula Castle, a widow, was found with a head injury on Monday afternoon in an alleyway off Oldfield Lane, South Greenford. She died early on Tuesday.

The accused, aged 14 and 15, from Southall in west London, have also been charged with two counts of robbery related to a separate incident.

The pair will appear in custody in court later on Friday.

23 Charged With Drug Offences Following Raids
More than 20 people have been charged with drug offences following a number of raids carried out in London, Gravesend, Dover and Deal. A total of 23 people were arrested during twenty raids carried out over three days. The suspects, ranging in age from 17 to 52, have all been charged in connection with the supply of class A drugs.

Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Murder In Kent
A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder in Kent. At around 7.15pm on Tuesday (19 May), police were called to a property in Hectorage Road, Tonbridge. Two men, aged 34 and 54, had sustained injuries which police believed to be knife wounds. The 54-year-old victim died at the scene. The 34-year-old was taken to hospital.

Mobile Customers To Share £1m Refund
Mobile provide EE is to refund around £1m to a number of customers wrongly charged VAT between October 2012 and October 2014. It is understood that EE customers who travelled outside the EU during those dates and used internet data were affected by the charges. The company estimated it as being about 0.5% of its customers.

Remand Over Croydon Stabbing
A 30-year-old man has been remanded in custody charged with the murder of Nilanthan Murddi in Croydon. Seventeen-year-old Nilanthan, of New Addington, was killed in a street brawl involving between six and eight people on Sumner Road in the early hours of Saturday morning.
