Hunt For April Jones Continues

The search for missing five year old April Jones is set to continue.

Dyfed-Powys Police have not set an end date for the operation but will scale back the search over Christmas.

Superintendent Ian John said police have been hunting for April since she was last seen in Machynlleth, Powys, on 1 October, near her Welsh home.

"We will keep on looking until we have satisfied ourselves that we have exhausted all lines of inquiry," he said.

"We are not putting an end date on the operation and we are not willing to speculate on how much longer it will last."

The Dyfed-Powys policeman read a statement from April's parents, Carol and Paul Jones: "We're coming to terms with the fact that our baby girl has been taken from us.

"The pain of our tragic loss doesn't get any easier to bear."
