Amy Winehouse Inquest To Be Reheard
The inquest into the death of singer Amy Winehouse is to be reheard, after the coroner involved resigned.
Dr Andrew Scott Reid quit from his post after an inquiry into his decision to appoint his wife, Suzanne Greenaway, as the assistant deputy coroner revealed he had not checked her qualifications.
It was ruled that the singer, 27, died of 'misadventure'.
The new hearing is to take place on 8th January.

Soul singer Wilson Pickett dies
Veteran US soul singer Wilson Pickett has died at the age of 64. The star, who was famous for hits such as 'In The Midnight Hour' and 'Mustang Sally', suffered a heart attack in Virginia. His management said that he had suffered from ill health for the past year.

UK Talent Recognised With Grammy Nominations
English singer songwriter Adele is keeping up appearances for the UK music industry after gaining six Grammy nominations- similarly Mumford and Sons and Coldplay will also represent the UK on the world music stage with their nominations. British folk act Mumford & Sons have four nods, including for record and song of the year, for The Cave.

Woman Dies After Suspected Burglary
A woman has dies hours after a suspected house burglary in Llandudno, Conwy. According to North Wales Police, the woman, believed to be in her 50s, collapsed at a property in St David's Road following a disturbance at 10.30pm on Sunday.

New Code Of Standards For Coroners Introduced
A new code of standards for coroners in England and Wales has come into effect today following complaints that families could wait years for a hearing. Under the new legal framework, introduced by the Ministry of Justice, inquests should be completed within six months or "or as soon as is reasonably practicable".

Inquest Finds 'Tombstoning' Deaths Were 'Accidental'
An inquest has found that the deaths of two men who jumped off Clacton Pier were "accidental". John Castleman, 48 and Kelvin Rothwell, 43 jumped from the pier after a day of drinking on July 7 last year, an inquest at Chelmsford heard. Deputy Coroner Jolanta McKenzie presented two verdicts of death due to "immersion in sea water".
