Suspected Arson Attack On London Temple
Police in London are appealing for witnesses following a suspected arson attack on a Hindu temple in Hillingdon on 28 May.
Officers were called following reports of a fire at 00:15 at the Adhya Shakti Mataji Temple along Cowley High Street.
Fire fighters tackled the blaze, which caused damage to a temporary building near the temple.
The incident is being treated as suspicious after traces of an accelerant, believed to be petrol, were discovered at the scene.
Officers are appealing to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious or anyone outside of the gates of the Temple or inside the Cowley Recreation Park next to the Temple in the early hours of 28.5.13 to contact them.
Anyone who can assist can call the Incident Room at Hillingdon Police Community Safety Unit on 020 8246 1766. Alternatively, to remain anonymous, contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Appeal Over Ledston Collision
Police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision which occurred on Newton Lane in Ledston, Yorkshire, at around 17:26 on Sunday evening.
A black Renault Clio travelling in the direction of Castleford collided with a stationary vehicle, causing a vehicle travelling behind the Clio to collide with it.
The Clio remained at the scene, while the other vehicle was driven away.
A third vehicle was also seen in the area at the time, which also made away from the scene.
Yorkshire Police say one of the vehicles returned to the scene and drove the 27-year-old rear seat passenger of the Clio to hospital.
Anyone who has seen any of the three vehicles either prior, during or after the incident is asked to contact police on the non emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers in confidence on 0800 555 111.
Birmingham Road Crash Victim Named
A MAN who died in a road traffic collision in Birmingham on Saturday evening has been named as 64-year-old James Dougherty from Kingstanding.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision, which occurred at about 18:15 on the elevated section of the A34 Birchfield Road, near to Trininty Road, in Aston.
A blue BMW collided head on with a black Citroen Picasso which was heading into the city. The driver of the Picasso suffered minor injuries, but the passenger, Mr Dougherty, died as a result of his injuries.
A 28-year-old female passenger in the BMW suffered serious leg injuries and was taken to hospital.
CCTV of the incident shows numerous potential witnesses driving along the A34 at the time of the collision, which police are keen to trace.
Witnesses should contact the regional collision investigation unit on 101.
Man Attacks Bus Driver Over Fare
Merseyside Police are appealing for witnesses following an unprovoked attack on a bus driver.
Detectives in Wirral are investigating an assault in Birkenhead on Sunday 31 March.
A man boarded the an Arriva tunnel bus at Queens Square Bus Station.
He didn't have the correct money for his fare and had an argument with the bus driver, before another passenger paid his fare.
Then at about 02:50, the bus stopped at Borough Road at the junction with Elmswood Road, Birkenhead. The man punched the bus driver in the face and disembarked.
Detective Constable Nick Moore said: "This was an unprovoked attack on a bus driver who was just trying to carry out his job.
"He has understandably been left shocked by this incident and I would urge anyone who has any information about it to get in contact."

PC Jailed Over Schoolgirl's Crash Death
A police officer who caused the death of a teenage girl by dangerous driving, has been jailed for three years. Hayley Adamson, 16, was killed when she stepped out into the path of PC John Dougal's car in Newcastle's Denton Road on 19 May last year. Dougal was chasing a suspect car at the time, but did not have his siren or blue lights switched on.

CCTV Images Released Following Bus Driver Assault
Officers from the joint Metropolitan Police Service and Transport for London Safer Transport Command Workplace Violence Unit are appealing for information in connection with an assault in Camden. The incident occurred on Monday, 10 January around 7pm, on board a route 59 bus, which was stationary on Eversholt Street in north west London.

Bus driver killed in road collision
A bus driver has been killed in a road accident in Rotherham. The accident happened around 0659 BST on Monday morning on the A618 Pleasley Road at Guilthwaite near to Whiston in Rotherham.
