15 Arrested In Scrap Yard Raids

Police have raided five scrap metal yards in Bristol and Somerset, arresting 15 people in connection with handling stolen goods.

Avon and Somerset police confirmed that over 60 officers were joined by representatives from utility companies when they carried out the raids on Tuesday morning.

It ids understood that evidence had been gather for several months by undercover officers prior to today's raids.

Suspected Hooligans Arrested After Football Match
Police in Birmingham have arrested 19 men in a series of early morning raids targeting people suspected of being involved in disorder at a football derby match last month. Officers raided 20 addresses across Birmingham as part of Operation Flowstream and it is understood that those arrested range in age between 14 to 45.

Five arrested in anti-terror raids
Five men have been arrested under the Terrorism Act in a series of anti-terror raids in West Yorkshire and Manchester. Two men, aged 29 and 25, were arrested in dawn raids in Halifax, carried out by officers from the Metropolitan Police Counter Terrorism Command and West Yorkshire Police.

Police Officers Charged Over Bijan Ebrahimi Death
Three police officers and a police community support officer have been charged in connection with the death of Bijan Ebrahimi in Bristol in July 2013, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has confirmed. Mr Ebrahimi was murdered on 14 July 2013 because some of his neighbours wrongly believed he was a paedophile.
