Post-Mortem On UEA Lake Body 'Inconclusive'

Police in East Anglia have said that results from a post-mortem on the body of woman found floating in a university lake are "inconclusive".

An angler reported the body on Thursday morning, and the police have been unable to identify the victim.

All students, staff and visitors of the University of East Anglia (UEA) have been accounted for.

The investigation has also found that the woman is not connected to any current missing people cases in Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, or Suffolk.

Further test will now be needed and the investigation continues.

The body of a woman spotted floating face-down in the University of East Anglia (UEA) lake has been recovered. An angler reported the body at around 8.50am on Thursday morning, after he made the discovery at the lake known as UEA Broad.

Britain set for 'warm' summer
Britain is set to have yet another summer that is warmer than normal, according to the latest seasonal forecast from the Met Office. Forecasters said that there is a "high probability" that summer temperatures in 2007 will exceed the 1971-2000 long-term average of 14.1 C, following the trend set throughout 2006 and the first part of 2007.

The Met Office has said it expects the weather to turn colder today and freezing temperatures are likely to affect roads in all parts of the country over the next few days.

Appeal For Information After Body Found In Fife
Police in Fife have appealed for information into an ongoing investigation following the discovery of a man's body in Glenrothes. Police discovered the body of Aleksandrs Sokolovs (29) inside a property on Tummel Road on Monday. The death of the Latvian-national is being treated as suspicious.
