37-Year-Old Scout Leader Faces Sexual Abuse Charges

A 37-year-old scout leader has been charged with two counts of rape on a boy under 13, and six other sexual offences.

David Sewell, of Valley Road, Grantham, Lincolnshire, is charged with engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child under 13, two counts of sexual assault of a boy by touching, two counts of causing a child under 13 to watch or look at images of sexual activity, two counts of raping a boy under 13 and one count of voyeurism.

The alleged crimes took place over a 10-year period.

Lincolnshire Police also renewed an appeal for information in connection with the investigation into Mr Sewell's alleged crimes.

Sewell will enter a plea when he appears again on November 04.

Man Found To Be Grooming Young Girls Jailed
A 48-year-old man has pleaded guilty to eight offences of grooming young girls for sexual purposes. Ian Alexander, of Rowland Way, Ashford, Middlesex, was sentenced to a total of three years and five months in prison, and made the subject of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, at Isleworth Crown Court on Wednesday, 23 September.

Man Sentenced Following Child Sexual Exploitation Investigation
A 21-year-old man has been sentenced following a child sexual exploitation investigation in Brighton. Kasey Knowles, of no fixed address, was charged with six counts of engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged between 13 and 15. All the charges relate to one girl.

Four Jailed For 70 Years For Child Abuse
Two men and two women have been jailed for a total of 70 years after being found guilty of 49 child sexual abuse and cruelty offences. The group was found guilty following a three month trial, where charges included rape, sexual assault and ABH, carried out against five victims all aged under 13 at the time.
