Bag Of Cash Found On Doorstep In York
A bin bag filled with thousands of pounds has been left on the doorstep of a house in York.
North Yorkshire Police will not reveal the exact amount of money that was in the bag which was handed into officers in York on Tuesday.
Detective Inspector Andrea Kell, of York CID, said: "This is a very unusual find which remains unexplained and we would like to find out where the money came from and rule out any criminal connection."

Murder Investigation Launched Into York Body Find
A murder investigation has been launched following the discovery of a man's body at a property in York on Monday night. It is understood that police where called to reports of a disturbance on Hamilton Drive at about 22:20. Police discovered a man suffering serious stab wounds.

Police have launched an international manhunt for a man believed to have murdered a woman from Cardiff. The body of Nadine Aburas, 28, was discovered in a guest room at a Cardiff hotel on Wednesday 31 December.

Following an investigation into phone hacking claims at the News of the World David Cameron's Director of Communications, Andy Coulson, will not be facing criminal charges. Keir Starmer, Director of Public Prosecutions, said that no evidence existed to formally charge anyone.

The Metropolitan Police is to examine new evidence regarding claims of phone-hacking by News of the World journalists. The new move follows claims by former News of the World reporter Sean Hoare that he had been told by the paper's former editor Andy Coulson - now Communications Director for Downing Street - to intercept phone messages.
