41-Year-Old Convicted Of Rachel Manning Murder

A 41-year-old man has been convicted of the murder of Rachel Manning, almost six years since the man jailed for the crime had his conviction quashed.

The body of Rachel Manning was found dumped on a golf course in Milton Keynes in 2000. She had been strangled.

In 2002, Rachel's boyfriend at the time of her death, Barri White, was convicted of murder. His friend Keith Hyatt was also convicted of perverting the course of justice.

Mr White's and Mr Hyatt's convicted were quashed in 2007, after serving five years for the crime they didn't commit.

Shahidul Ahmed has now been convicted of the murder and sentenced to minimum term of 17 years.

It is understood that Mr Ahmed was connected to Miss Manning's death after he was arrested for a sex attack in 2010.
